ROB MILLER

Rob Miller

Partner & Founder | Personal Injury Attorney | Miller Copeland

Firm founder, Rob Miller has spent nearly 40 years in Texas courtrooms — and he's seen this fight from every angle.

Growing up in South Texas, Rob didn't start out in law — but the courtroom was always where he was headed. For twelve years, he worked alongside his family in their auto mechanic shop and auto parts business, getting his hands dirty and learning how vehicles work from the inside out. All the while, he had one goal: to become a trial lawyer. That background gives him something most attorneys simply don't have: a firsthand understanding of how cars and trucks are built, how they fail, and how negligence on the road leads to catastrophic consequences. When Rob walks into a trucking or auto accident case, he already speaks the language.

When he finally made it to law school at Texas Tech, Rob was determined to master the system — and he did. For the next 30+ years, he did exactly that — exclusively representing insurance companies and corporations as a defense attorney. He knew every tactic, every delay strategy, every argument insurers use to protect their bottom line at the expense of injured families. He was good at it. But in 2020, Rob made a deliberate choice: to take everything he'd learned and use it for the people on the other side of the table. He founded Miller Copeland, and he's never looked back.

That decision matters for you. When Rob takes your case, he isn't guessing how the insurance company will respond — he knows. He spent decades in that room. Now he uses that knowledge to dismantle their defenses and fight for every dollar his clients deserve.

Since founding Miller Copeland in 2020, Rob has built a firm that goes toe-to-toe with the biggest companies and insurers in Texas. His approach in the courtroom is anything but conventional — Rob is aggressive when he needs to be and creative when others aren't. He finds angles that other attorneys miss, builds arguments that catch the opposition off guard, and isn't afraid to take a case to trial when a corporation thinks they can wait you out. He handles personal injury, wrongful death, trucking accidents, products liability, and civil rights cases. He is an Advocate-level member of the American Board of Trial Advocates — one of the most selective trial lawyer organizations in the country — and holds the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating, the highest possible peer rating for both legal ability and ethical standards. He has been recognized as a Top-Rated Lawyer in the Dallas Morning News and named among Texas Legal Leaders.

Rob founded this firm on a simple belief: that everyday people deserve the same quality of legal firepower that corporations take for granted. After almost 40 years, that belief hasn't changed.
